Position Summary
The grant officer will be responsible for oversight of all grants activities, including ensuring efficient and proper controls for USAID grant compliance and reporting; review and submission of financial reports as required for each grant
Reporting & Supervision:
This position is housed in Abuja, Nigeria, reporting to the Grant Manager
Primary Responsibilities
Implement procedures and templates to be used for formulating, negotiating, executing, monitoring, and closing grants according to USAID regulations and the project Grants Manual.
Review grants progress and financial reports and ensure grantees are funded as required.
Support on-site and oversight monitoring of grants to ensure compliance with USAID regulations.
Coordinate and support project reviews and capacity building activities for grantees. –
Assist grantees to convey grants-management requirements, processes, and skills to their local affiliates as necessary.
Maintain the Creative’s integrated Database Management System (IDMS) and hard grant files ensuring that they are always up-to-date.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, B.sc Accounting preferred.
2-4 years’ experience in grant management, including sub-award disbursements and reporting.
Knowledgeable about USAID Rules and Regulations, previous experience working on USAID funded projects.
