General Manager

The General Manager will have overall responsibility for overseeing the operational, financial, and strategic performance of the organization. This individual will play a key role in driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and managing cross-functional teams within the poultry/agriculture business. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the poultry or agriculture industry and a proven track record of leading and scaling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across departments (production, finance, sales, supply chain, HR, etc.).
Develop and implement business strategies and operational plans that drive growth, profitability, and efficiency within the agricultural or poultry sector.
Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements in all aspects of operations.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and company targets are met.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for cost reduction, process optimization, and operational effectiveness.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, regulatory authorities, and industry partners.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify new opportunities for business expansion.
Oversee supply chain management, production planning, and inventory control, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials while minimizing costs.
Ensure high-quality standards in all products and services, focusing on customer satisfaction, product integrity, and brand reputation.
Lead recruitment, training, and development efforts to build a high-performance workforce, including managing employee relations and performance.
Report regularly to senior leadership and stakeholders on operational performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

Proven experience (7+ years) as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or in a similar senior management role within the agriculture or poultry industry.
Strong knowledge of the operational and financial dynamics specific to the agricultural/poultry sector, including supply chain, production processes, and market trends.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams.
In-depth understanding of industry-specific regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Ability to develop and execute business strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience with advanced production and farming technologies, especially in poultry or crop management.
Expertise in managing large-scale operations in the agriculture or poultry sector.
Familiarity with quality assurance programs and operational certifications within the industry.
