Gas Solutions Sales Manager SSA

Role Summary/Purpose
The Gas Solutions Sales Manager for Sub Sahara Africa plays a key role within the Power Generation Services business to define and implement growth strategies in coordination with the business objectives.
Reporting to the Gas Solutions Sales Director, the successful candidate will be responsible to achieve the business plan/growth targets in her/his Region and develop new initiatives, campaigns and go-to-market strategies that will result in profitable growth and increased segment penetration
Essential Responsibilities
Drive Valpak strategy and growth initiatives within the Sub Sahara Africa region & focus on increasing Market Share of Plant Upgrades ”Performance Services”
Own convertible orders Operating Plan for the year & focus on the Product sale to build an installed base to support services offerings (Orders, Sales, and Margins)
Develop new growth opportunities for complex power plant projects
Drive aggressive growth targets in her/his region
Partner with Account Sales Managers to develop Account Campaigns and Company to Country Strategies
Lead deal team to identify and develop strategic opportunities driving growth
Own & lead the negotiation of complex Valpak contracts
Build relationship at all levels in customer organization from Field team to decision makers at C-Level in IPPs, Utilities, Industrial and O&G sectors
Acts as a client consultant, understand their profitability models and offer solutions that can optimize client’s assets, enhance their revenue and productivity models
Provide global expertise related to Performance Services Projects from technical to commercial, competition, best practices, industry and market demands
Develop competitive intelligence related to her/his market
Act as the Voice of Customer in the organization. Drive the business to invest in new products “NPI’s” that solve customer requirements and create order pipeline for the business
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
At least 8 additional years of experience in the power generation services industry
At least 3 years’ experience in a commercial or a sales function
Additional Eligibility Qualifications Desired Characteristics:
Commercial sales experience in closing large and complex contractual agreements is preferred
Technical or a project management experience in Power plants
Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills …
