Responsibilities
Plants, transplants, fertilizes, applies chemicals, waters, prunes and weeds flower beds and plant areas
Maintain flowers, bushes, trees and shrubs.
Implements detailed landscape plans.
Plants and propagates bedding plants.
Assists in the work direction and on-the-job training of other personnel.
Keep gardens and green spaces clear of debris and litter.
Assist in in various maintenance activities as required.
May operate a motor vehicle to transport materials and equipment as appropriate to the position.
Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practise.
Qualification
O levels or WAEC result.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Gardener.
Familiarity with landscaping design.
Extensive knowledge of regional plant life.
Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them.
Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers.
Knowledge of state health and safety regulations for landscaping.
