Job Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for supporting financial operations and decision-making through accurate financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRSs and GAAPs
Preparation of Weekly/Monthly Management Reports
Posting of transactions into the Accounting Software
Handle banking transactions and carry out weekly/monthly reconciliation of bank statements.
Preparation and maintenance of the Company’s Fixed asset register
Have a sound working knowledge of the Nigerian Tax system and handle all statutory remittances for the Company e.g., PAYE, WHT & VAT
Auditors’ engagement for annual/Interim Audit.
Preparation of annual budgets
Other related duties
Skills:
Very strong analytical and numeric skills
Intermediate to an advanced working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong written and oral communication
Proactive and requires limited supervision.
Good Presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
5-7 years of hands-on, post-NYSC work experience in accounting, and financial reporting from medium to large-sized organizations (preferably from investment and asset management companies).
Hands-on experience at all the aspects of tasks in a typical Finance department. Not just a lot of experience in a limited area.
