Finance Coordinator Programme Manager

General Responsibilities

Adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines, policies and procedures and other Finance tools and handbooks;
Implement NRC’s Financial systems, routines and procedures;
Support FM to maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows;
Management of finance Officers and Assistants;
Ensure proper filing of all support documents related to financial activities in NRC-Nigeria;
Support line managers in financial procedures and required support team trainings;
Develop plans in coordination with FM and field staff to ensure costs efficiency;
Provide regular analysis and reports for the projects;
Training & support to staff & budget holders with financial responsibilities;
Coordinate to support management to implement anti-corruption policy.
Specific Responsibilities
Ensure reconciliation of all balance accounts on a monthly basis;
Ensure proper filling of financial documents according to donor requirements;
Following up and ensuring that advances are settled in a timely manner;
Coordinate with field and CO finance staff for scanning and archiving of financial document;
Ensure that all costs are booked into agresso on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
Adequate supervision of 1 finance officer and 2 finance Assistants;
Coordinate weekly meetings between finance staff for information sharing;
Ensure that staff salaries are properly recorded in agresso according to budgetary allocations;
Follow up on cash projections and cash availability for program activities;
Ensuring that all payment vouchers are properly stamped “PAID” before filing;
Performing and following up on any other duties assigned by line manager.

Qualifications

Experience from working as a finance Coordinator or Officer in a humanitarian context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
