Finance Controller

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Controller for our organization in the Automobile Industry. This role involves overseeing budgeting, cost control, compliance, and strategic financial planning to enhance business performance and profitability. The Finance Controller will ensure adherence to industry regulations, implement financial controls and provide insights for business growth.

Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls and risk management practices.
Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor financial performance against budgets, providing variance analysis and strategic recommendations.
Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support business decision-making.
Provide insights into financial performance, profitability, and cost efficiencies.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across operations.
Analyze profitability across different business units, recommending improvement strategies.
Oversee cost accounting processes specific to the automobile industry to enhance cost efficiency.
Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
Implement strategies to improve cash management, liquidity, and working capital utilization.
Ensure effective management of accounts payable and receivable, reducing financial risks.
Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Lead internal audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and risk mitigation.
Identify financial risks and implement proactive risk management strategies.
Provide financial insights to support business expansion, mergers, acquisitions, and investment decisions.
Conduct feasibility studies for new projects, market expansions, and capital investment initiatives.
Partner with senior management to drive financial strategy, operational efficiencies, and profitability improvements.

Qualifications/ Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Must Be a chartered accountant
Professional certification such as, ACCA, CFA, or CIMA is required.
8+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role.
Strong expertise in financial reporting, audit, cost control, and risk management.
Experience in the automobile industry or manufacturing sector is an added advantage.
Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.

Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and tax requirements.
Proficient in financial software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team while fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
