Job Responsibilities:
Installation and maintenance of a Fiber Optics FTTH network.
Install, repair, and resolve fiber optic systems to ensure they work properly and provide timely updates on tasks assigned.
Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas.
Splice and Terminate SM fiber.
Perform basic to complex installation, troubleshooting & repair of fiber systems under no supervision.
Access the fiber optic splice enclosure and splice the necessary fibers directly from a bucket truck.
Perform fiber tests: OTDR, power meter/laser source, and scopes.
Prep, tray, and splice fiber optic cable ranging from single fiber to large counts as well as perform ring cuts when needed.
Perform periodic Planned Preventive Maintenance on FTTH Infrastructure.
Prepare documentation of FTTH Infrastructure as required.
Install demarcation enclosures, switches, and other telecom equipment.
Responsible for reporting using Excel as defined by management.
Fiber optic test and troubleshooting abilities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualification/ Skills:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related disciplines
3 or more years of experience.
Possession of relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
Strong Microsoft word and Excel skills (Compulsory).
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent time management skills.
