Job Description
Oversee the daily maintenance and upkeep of all farm facilities, including:
Farm buildings (warehouses, processing plants, offices)
Farm structures (fences, gates, irrigation systems)
Farm equipment (tractors, harvesters, other machinery)
Roads and access points within the farm
Conduct regular inspections of all facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
Coordinate and supervise necessary repairs and renovations.
Plan and schedule preventative maintenance for all farm equipment.
Supervise or conduct equipment repairs and maintenance.
Ensure proper storage and maintenance of all farm equipment.
Ensure all facilities and equipment comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement safety measures to prevent accidents.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and safety inspections.
Source and procure necessary materials and supplies for maintenance activities.
Supervise and manage maintenance personnel (if applicable).
Oversee and manage facility improvement projects, such as renovations, expansions, and upgrades.
Implement environmentally friendly practices in all facility maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 4 – 8 years of experience in facility management, maintenance, or a related field.
Experience in an agricultural setting is highly preferred.
Strong technical skills in building maintenance, plumbing, electrical systems, and basic carpentry.
Knowledge of farm equipment maintenance and repair.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
