Job Summary:
The Facility Officer is responsible for overseeing all repair and maintenance activities within the organization to ensure facilities are functional, safe, and well-maintained. This includes but is not limited to air conditioning systems, printers, electrical systems, and other general repairs and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and identify repair and maintenance needs for all facilities and equipment.
Ensure timely maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems, printers, and other equipment.
Coordinate and supervise external contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment and facilities.
Ensure that facilities and equipment are maintained to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Liaise with service providers and vendors for supplies, repairs, and maintenance services.
Monitor the performance of contractors and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.
Maintain an inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts.
Ensure the availability of essential materials for repair and maintenance tasks.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety checks and address any hazards.
Keep accurate records of all repair and maintenance activities.
Prepare and submit maintenance reports to management regularly.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the maintenance budget.
Ensure cost-effective maintenance solutions without compromising quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Diploma or degree in facility management, engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in facility maintenance, repair work, or a similar role.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of air conditioning systems, printers, electrical systems, and general repair techniques.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Other Requirements: Ability to multitask and manage multiple maintenance requests effectively.
