Facilities and Security Management, Lead

JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities and Security Management Lead is responsible for overseeing the bank’s facilities and security operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for employees, customers, and assets. This role encompasses facilities maintenance, security strategy implementation, vendor management, and regulatory compliance to support the organization’s objectives. The position requires leadership in optimizing operational processes and maintaining a secure and well-functioning infrastructure.

ROLES AND RESPOSNIBILITES

Facilities Management

Infrastructure Oversight: Ensure all facilities are well-maintained and meet operational and aesthetic standards.
Preventive Maintenance: Establish and enforce preventive maintenance schedules for critical infrastructure such as HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and generators to prevent downtime.
Space Utilization: Conduct periodic space utilization assessments and recommend reconfiguration or upgrades to optimize space efficiency.
Project Management: Lead facility upgrade and renovation projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget while maintaining quality standards.

Security Management

Policy Development: Formulate and enforce robust security policies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Risk Assessment: Conduct periodic security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation plans.
Technology Integration: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and fire suppression systems.
Emergency Response: Develop and manage emergency response protocols, including evacuation procedures, crisis management plans, and security incident reporting.
Personnel Training: Conduct regular training for employees and security personnel to ensure preparedness for potential threats or incidents.

Vendor and Contractor Management

Contract Negotiation: Negotiate service agreements with vendors and contractors, ensuring optimal cost-effectiveness and quality of service.
Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess vendor performance against service-level agreements (SLAs) and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Sourcing Strategy: Develop strategies for sourcing reliable vendors and maintaining a diverse pool of service providers.

Policy Compliance and Auditing

Regulatory Adherence: Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits of facilities and security operations, identifying gaps and implementing corrective measures.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, operational challenges, and improvement initiatives for management review

Team Leadership

Supervision: Oversee the daily activities of the Asset Management Officer, Security team, providing mentorship and direction to achieve performance objectives.
Team Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for team members to enhance skills and capabilities.
Culture Building: Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the facilities and security team.

Data Protection Responsibilities

Ensure all activities relating to data processing are carried out in compliance with data protection and privacy regulations, and related policies, procedures and processes.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The ideal candidate for this role must possess the following competencies and qualification:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Facilities Management, Security Management, Engineering, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in facilities and security management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, or equivalent
Demonstrated experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

Strong understanding of facilities and security systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, access control, and surveillance technology.
Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations and risk management practices.
