Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement crop management strategies to maximize yield and quality.
Oversee planting, fertilization, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting operations.
Conduct soil analysis and develop soil management plans.
Utilize mechanized farming equipment and technologies to enhance farm efficiency.
Monitor crop health and implement corrective measures as needed.
Collaborate with farm management and labor teams to ensure smooth operations.
Keep accurate records of farm activities, input usage, and crop performance.
Stay updated on the latest agricultural research and technologies to continuously improve farm practices.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in arable crop farming, with a focus on maize and soybeans.
Proven experience managing large-scale farms (minimum 2,000 hectares).
Strong knowledge of mechanized farming techniques and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
