Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
Assess and evaluate students’ progress through tests, assignments, and exams.
Encourage critical thinking and creativity in literary analysis and language use.
Create an inclusive and interactive classroom environment that supports all learners.
Collaborate with other teachers and school administrators to enhance learning outcomes.
Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification (TRCN is an advantage).
Minimum of 1-3 years teaching experience in a structured school environment.
Strong knowledge of grammar, literature, and creative writing.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to engage and inspire students of varying academic levels.
Proficiency in lesson planning, student assessment, and curriculum development.
Preferred qualifications (optional):
Experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, or other standardized exams.
Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technology in education.
Strong interest in extracurricular activities like debate clubs, writing workshops, or drama.
