Job Description
Instruct students about the structure and content of the English Language.
Emphasize the rules of composition, grammar, and sentence construction.
Teach students to think critically when studying literature and poetry.
Teach students the correct pronunciation of words.
Plan and prepare lesson plans that meet core objectives and principles that are in line with curriculum goals.
Deliver lessons using a variety of differentiated instructional techniques that are appropriate to the academic level and meet the diverse needs of students.
Develop students’ verbal skills including reading out loud, discussion, and debate.
Develop students’ writing skills.
Monitor performance and progress and modify instructional methods to meet individual needs where necessary.
Maintain accurate and complete students records including attendance, grades, assessments and test scores.
Requirements:
B.A / B. Ed / PGDE English Language or related course
Proven experience as an English Teacher
Knowledge of teaching styles is recommended
Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
