Engineer, Technical Surveillance Senior Accountant

About the job

As Engineer, Technical Surveillance, you will be directly involved in the continuous monitoring of solar installations, identifying potential risks, and supporting onsite interventions through data-driven insights. You will be responsible for providing first level resolution for energy related incidents.

You will:

Work in the 24/7 surveillance team responsible for monitoring all customers’ energy systems
Ensure proactive detection of faults and failures in all solar/energy solutions deployed
Handle escalation of alarms, events, incidents, and other failures to the resolver teams
Provide first level resolution to customers for technical issues
Follow-up with resolver teams for resolution of faults and incidents
Manage incident tickets (TT creation, assignment, tracking, update, and closure)
Conduct accurate demarcation of technical complaints and faults
Provide support for troubleshooting of faults and incidents
Provide support to operations/service engineers via monitoring and analytics tools
Provide regular updates on all faults and incidents
Ensure stakeholder notifications for planned and unplanned incidents
Interface with Customer Experience team to respond to customers’ technical needs
Work with software team, embedded systems team, IT team and other support teams to ensure real-time visibility of all energy systems
Carry out other tasks assigned by your line manager

You’ll be a good fit for this role if you have:

Minimum of a B.Eng/B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in solar systems operations and maintenance. 
Good technical knowledge, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn and work on changing and emerging technologies. 
Ability to build an environment and relationship of trust and credibility with customers, to best promote Arnergy in the local market. 
People-management skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. 
Experience with solar/energy systems operations and maintenance is a prerequisite
