DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician – Level II to join our team specializing in Service for our Port Harcourt – Field Service Department in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Efficient Repairs: By diagnosing and completing less complex engine repairs on-site, you’ll ensure minimal downtime for customers.

Technical Expertise: Using specialized tools and following procedures will ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance.
Preventative Maintenance: Performing scheduled maintenance will help prevent major issues and extend the lifespan of engines and components.
Issue Escalation: Escalating unresolved problems to more experienced technicians ensures that complex issues are addressed effectively.
Accurate Documentation: Completing necessary documentation accurately will support warranty claims, quality control, and service records.
Service Opportunities: Identifying additional service opportunities will help expand business and provide comprehensive solutions to customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Strong Diagnostic Skills: Ability to translate customer complaints into effective troubleshooting plans using specialized tools and software, ensuring accurate and efficient repairs.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical products, following guidelines and using the required tools to ensure quality and cost-effective repairs.
Detailed Documentation: Skill in creating and verifying customer and technical information, capturing specific data, and documenting all work accurately in the service management system.
Effective Escalation: Capability to obtain and utilize technical issue information, escalate complex problems appropriately, and ensure timely and accurate resolution of service tickets.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
BSC/HND in technical related field
Locally valid driving permit
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Customer service experience
