Energy Lawyer

AO2Law is recruiting an Energy Lawyer for her Energy and Extractives Practice Group.
Ideal candidate would be placed in her client’s Energy company as a secondee.
Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years post-call experience in Energy practice particularly in Oil & Gas. This role is a transactional/solicitor role and shall be on a renewable contract basis

Responsibilities

Advise on all aspects of Energy and Extractives Law 
Proffer legal opinions and draft agreements with minimal supervision, draft and review documentation.
Thorough knowledge and practical experience of procedural law and substantive law.
Provide mentorship and supervisory responsibilities to junior associates and work as a team with other senior associates.
Fulfill other responsibilities as delegated or assigned by the Managing Partner/Partners, Head of Legal, MD/Chairman. 

Requirements

Minimum of BL
A 2:1 grade in either law school or university, preferred
Minimum of 3 years post-call experience acquired in a reputable firm or company
A level of interpersonal skills sufficient to maintain effective working relationships, with colleagues and clients.
Leadership skills, highly focused and committed to law practice.
Concise and precise drafting skills.
Good eye for detail and effective time management.
The ability to keep abreast of professional, legal, technological, and developments in law and to impart such knowledge as necessary.
