NRC is looking for a Emergence Responses Coordinator for our field office in Maiduguri and Monguno, Borno State in Northern Nigeria. The purpose of the Emergence Response Assistant is to assist in the Implementation and impact of Emergence Response activities in Maiduguri and Monguno, Borno State
NRC initiated country operations in Nigeria in June 2015, in order to respond to the critical and increasing needs in the country. NRC currently has a full team based in Maiduguri and a coordination office in Abuja. NRC is currently providing services across various sectors namely; Shelter and Non-Food Items (NFI); Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion (WASH); Food Security; and Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) in order to address identified humanitarian needs.
The Emergence Response Coordinator reports to Emergence Response Programme Development Manager.
Job description

Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
Contribute to RRM strategy development, project proposals and provide input on needs and gaps
Manage and implement delegated portfolio of RRM projects (activities, budget and project documentation) as delegated from PDM in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements, and ensure high technical quality
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
Ensure and support implementation of needs assessments and support beneficiary identification and selection
Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
Other duties as directed from time to time

Qualifications

IT tools experience
Experience in conducting field level data collection
Experience in participating in distributions of humanitarian materials
University Degree in relevant course
