Job Description
Develop strategic electrical plans by studying existing conditions, determining needs to accomplish operational plans.
Prepare electrical engineering analysis of plant performance and efficiency
Manage the electrical engineering budget and procurement strategies
Oversee the scheduling of planned maintenance and manage critical, emergency and breakdown situations.
Plan and implement electrical projects in line with budget and specifications
Manage Electrical engineering duties surrounding the following; electrical devices, components, production equipment, transportation equipment, environmental control, materials handling, machine tools, and automated manufacturing equipment.
Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.
Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
Analyse and resolve work problems within electrical department.
Confer with other Managers and supervisors to coordinate activities with other departments
Manage emergency response activities
Design, document, and implement engineering solutions to provide maximum engineering effectiveness with the minimum of disruption to production and operations.
Job Requirement
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics & Instrumentation engineering
Minimum 10 years work experience in manufacturing industry.
Advanced computer skills consummate with tertiary education
In-depth knowledge in the PLC Programming and following software / devices: Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000 software, Programming of Allen Bradley panel Views, RsView software, Ethernet Networking, Devicenet configuration and troubleshooting, VFD drives, Servo drives.
Experience Hydraulic & Pneumatic and Automation.
Maintenances and operation of power Generation & high voltage and switch gears.
Experience implementation Total Productive Maintenance System.
Able to interpret electrical/electronic diagrams.
Experience in quality systems and Statistical Process Control is essential
Ability to read, interpret data and create reports as required.
Ability to develop and promote good relationships with employees at all levels
Sound leadership and mentorship abilities
Good presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure
