A construction company based in Lagos Island is seeking a result-oriented Earthwork Supervisor to oversee and manage earthworks operations on our project sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, excavation, and soil management, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate excavation, grading, compaction, and other earthworks activities.
Ensure the proper handling, movement, and disposal of soil, rocks, and other materials.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of earthmoving equipment.
Monitor and enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with engineers, site managers, and construction teams to ensure project goals are met.
Conduct site inspections and address any operational challenges.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, material usage, and equipment logs.
Key Skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent knowledge of earthmoving equipment and soil mechanics.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong understanding of environmental and safety regulations.
Knowledge of excavation, grading, and compaction operations.
Experience with heavy equipment like bulldozers, graders, and excavators.
Supervisory skills for managing teams, subcontractors, and ensuring safety standards.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in earthworks, construction, or site supervision.
Certification in construction site management or occupational health and safety is an advantage.
