Job Description

The Driver position is more than just for transportation.
It requires a professional approach that makes the incumbent able to cover logistics, vehicular management, errands, and other tasks that each direct superior and/or the organization needs.

Specific Tasks Specific tasks are divided into the following categories and include:

Log in and out with the Receptionist;
Drive appointed staff to appointments, and functions during the working day and after hours as necessary;
Collect the daily newspapers;
Deliver all official KS-IRS mail to external parties as directed by the receptionist;
Handle all inter-office mail as directed by the receptionist;
Carry out weekly vehicle checks on designated vehicles;
Maintain designated vehicles and inform Location & Transportation Officer (in Finance & Admin Department) and receptionist in written format when work is required;
Responsible to inform the Head of Administration of re-registrations and insurance procedures for all the vehicle fleet;
Handle personal errands such as banking, cashing cheques and making payments at the bank as required;
Assist in photocopying as requested by the receptionist; and
Carry out any other duties as directed by Location & Transportation Officer and other Officials (if within job description).

Education

Senior School Certificate or any of its equivalent (NABTEB in auto mechanic)

Professional Experience:

10 years driving in Kwara State;
Experience in a professional environment;
Running errands at employers’ homes and offices.

Ability write, read and understand English well.
Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills.
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
