Description
We are seeking a talented Design Architect to join our dynamic team and contribute to the creation of unique furniture designs that blend functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and develop furniture designs that reflect the company’s brand identity and market trends.
Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and renderings to effectively communicate design concepts to the manufacturing team.
Research emerging design trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to incorporate innovative ideas into furniture designs.
Develop prototypes and mock-ups to test and validate design concepts, ensuring feasibility and functionality.
Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing, providing technical guidance as needed.
Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and ergonomic and safety considerations in all designs.
Partner with suppliers and manufacturers to select suitable materials, finishes, and hardware, balancing cost, quality, and sustainability.
Participate in design review meetings, offering insights to improve designs and streamline production processes.
Manage project timelines to ensure design deliverables meet established deadlines.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
2 – 5 years’ experience in furniture design, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Rhino for technical drawings and 3D modeling.
Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail, with the ability to balance form and function in designs.
In-depth knowledge of materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes used in furniture production.
Familiarity with sustainability principles and a commitment to eco-friendly design practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to convey design concepts effectively to cross-functional teams.
Strong project management skills, including task prioritization, meeting deadlines, and adapting to evolving project requirements.
