Deputy Chief Executive Officer, FMCG

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to engage stakeholders in various agencies and ministries (e.g. Ministries of Agriculture; Trade & Investment; Finance, NAFDAC/ Ghana Food Authority, Tax and Customs)
Evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies and alert the board to issues and/or risks to the company as soon as they arise so they can be managed effectively
Drive specific projects requiring stakeholder engagement e.g. backward integration and agricultural expansion projects
Provide strategic guidance on Business Development
Oversee corporate services functions i.e. HR, Administration, Corporate Affairs, Facilities Management
Support the CEO in monitoring day-to-day operations of the organisation

Senior officials of Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies

Other Key Attributes:

A proven record of success in senior-level management (ideally in Marketing or Business Development)
Deep knowledge of the Nigerian regulatory framework
Gravitas and connectedness – ability to unlock access to government

Candidate Profile Academic and Professional Qualifications:

University degree
Masters in Business Administration or relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage

Experience:

At least 20 years’ relevant experience of managing people and resources. Experience in FMCG will be an added advantage
Experience in backward integration projects and agribusiness
