Job PurposeThe Data Science organization is at the core of Nielsen’s market research methodologies. Our associates are highly talented and capable professionals. We supports the Retail Measurement Services’ (RMS) product & methodologies enhancement and new service roll-outs, specializes in sampling design, universe estimation and maintenance, and ensures our survey methodology and design are aligned with global standards and industry best practices.Responsibilities

Responsible for execution of universe estimation/sample design methodologies/data simulation/panel update and ensure delivery on time and per specification
Planning & rolling out new or enhanced services & ensure the sustainability.
Deliver analysis to support implementation of standards and best practices
Work with Global Design and Delivery Centre to ensure accurate methodologies & practices within the organization
Consult with internal clients and helps provide expert technical consultation to solve complex data science related issues
Interact with Nielsen SMEs on new methodology implementation to enhance the quality of Nielsen statistical services
Ensures self-sustenance on Knowledge Management and train associates in the team
As needed, executes and enables execution of universe estimation and sample design methodologies for the sub-region/multiple countries and ensure delivery on time and per spec.
Develop and apply technology skill to improve business process through automation and programming tools

Requirements

More than 2 years (Senior Executive) of work experience in the survey research industry with hands on experience in developing and executing survey research methodologies
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Engineering or Computer Science with outstanding analytical expertise and strong technical leadership
Proficient in R, Python, TIBCO Spotfire, Hadoop, Spark, Julia or other statistical packages
Knowledge in computer science, programming and digital knowledge is preferred
Ability to use statistical methodologies to analyze the data
Experience in working with algorithms, and large-scale databases, statistical modelling, variance estimation, trend analyses, indirect estimation, data aggregation techniques, automation, and generalization
Demonstrates experience in survey research methodologies, data collection, platforms, research processes and operations
Experience working in a computing environment with large datasets and able to integrate across datasets will be advantage
Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects in a fast paced business environment
Strong ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way
