Job Summary:
The Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the research team by managing, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets. The ideal candidate will apply statistical techniques, create data visualizations, and deliver actionable insights to drive high-quality research outcomes. This position involves close collaboration with researchers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity and enhance decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management and Analysis:
Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Perform statistical analyses and develop predictive models to support research objectives.
Identify trends, patterns, and correlations within datasets and communicate findings effectively.
Data Visualization and Reporting:
Design and create dashboards, charts, and graphs to present complex data in an understandable manner.
Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with researchers to understand project objectives and tailor analyses to meet specific needs.
Provide technical guidance on data collection methods, tools, and best practices.
Tools and Software:
Utilize programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) for data analysis and visualization.
Manage and maintain databases, ensuring secure storage and easy accessibility.
Other Responsibilities:
Stay updated with advancements in data analysis techniques, tools, and technologies relevant to the institute’s research focus.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
Strong understanding of statistical techniques and machine learning models.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, ggplot).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting data insights.
Preferred:
Prior experience working in a research environment.
Familiarity with data collection tools and survey platforms (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics).
Knowledge of research methodologies and ethical guidelines related to data handling.
