The Corporate Development Manager’s role is strategic.
He or She is responsible for implementing long-term corporate goals and for communicating the strategic business objectives with Senior Management and all team leads for better understanding, gain buy-in and ensure implementation through constant monitoring to ensure execution of set objectives. (Set and enforce performance targets).
The Manager is also to have extensive knowledge of current market conditions and activities, provide strategic support to win and sustain clients, negotiate and close business deals that will translate into financial growth.
Key Result Areas (KRA) Strategic Business Partnering:
Develop business strategies and determine what element of that strategy should be shared with employees for awareness, understand the objectives and make them efficient in their daily work activities.
Conduct market analysis to provide information about activities of competitors.
Work with Top management to develop company business strategy plans.
Meet regularly with the CEO to update him on how the business is performing and offer suggestions he/she believes will make the hospital stronger.
Efficiently manage the corporate development function within approved budget and resource allocation.
Function as an internal corporate development Consultant to all groups within the business.
Business Development:
Develop strategies/plans to harness business opportunities
Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, requirements, evaluating options and business priorities and make a case to achieve positive success.
Develop and implement strategy for meeting performance targets.
Work with marketing team to develop and implement growth opportunities and yearly marketing plans.
Efficiently manage the business development function within approved budget and resource allocation.
Create and manage awareness campaign of hospital services.
The Person
A Bachelor’s (B.Sc.) degree in any discipline is required for this role.
5 to 10 years relevant work experience preferably in the Health or Oil & Gas sector, three (3) of which must have been spent at managerial level.
A working knowledge of relevant Corporate Governance is required for this role.
Membership of relevant professional bodies such as CIPM, NIM, IBMN and any other relevant bodies is required for this role
Excellent communication, business presentation, Strategic thinking and people management skills.
