Description
The Contracts and Materials Expediter will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the timely flow of materials and supplies required to meet scheduled project timelines. This role plays a key part in maintaining project schedules by ensuring procured materials are delivered on time and meeting defined quality.
Key Accountabilities
Expedite orders and monitor the delivery of materials, ensuring that they are delivered on time and meet project requirements.
Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams (Procurement, Production Operations, Facilities, Well Engineering and Materials Management) to address and resolve any material shortages or delays.
Communicate with suppliers and carriers regarding shipment schedules, delays, and adjustments to ensure minimal disruption to operations and projects.
Review project schedules and monitor the movement of materials to ensure alignment with planned timelines.
Maintain detailed records of material orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels.
Provide regular status updates on material deliveries to relevant stakeholders and management.
Help resolve issues related to damaged or defective materials and coordinate with suppliers for returns or replacements.
Support with minor procurement with the C&P team
Requirements
BSc Degree in Engineering, Business Administration and Management or with an emphasis on Supply Chain and Operations Management.
Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience in an oil servicing or producing company. Position requires specific experience related to Oil and Gas materials or logistics coordination role.
An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of the specified requirements.
