Job Summary For Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) shall be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic execution of all activities in the company. The COO will work closely with the CEO to develop and implement operational strategies that drives efficiency, profitability, and scalability while ensuring excellent customer service.

Job Description

Oversee the end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, fleet management, and supply chain activities.
Design and implement strategies, processes, and systems to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to drive operational excellence and ensure alignment with company objectives.
Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to establish long-term goals and operational strategies.
Translate strategic plans into actionable operational initiatives and ensure successful execution.
Identify market trends, opportunities, and risks to support business growth and competitive advantage.
Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
Monitor financial performance and implement measures to improve profitability and ROI.
Identify and implement opportunities for revenue generation and cost reduction across the supply chain.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of department heads and operational staff to achieve organizational goals.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and training to maintain a high-performing team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.
Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction by addressing concerns and delivering quality outcomes.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with key stakeholders to optimize value.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize operational disruptions.
Oversee the maintenance of logistics assets, including fleets and facilities, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Key Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
10+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
Proven track record of managing complex operations and delivering measurable results.
