Communications Specialist – CDC Chauffeur

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:As the lead communications officer, the incumbent develops and implements a comprehensive communications program for CDC Nigeria to promote public understanding of CDC programs and accomplishments. She/he plans and coordinates the dissemination of information relating to the organization’s programs, objectives and functions through various media. Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field is required.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible working experience in communications or public affairs environment is required.
Level IV (fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English Language is required. Language Proficiency will be tested.
Incumbent must have an in-depth understanding of overall communications principles, guidelines and procedures related to the management of public relations and working knowledge of the structure and functions of the Agency’s role in support of PEPFAR, PMI, Immunizations and GHS.
Ability to quickly and carefully translate technical legal language into understandable and easy to read written documents and ability to adapt style, manner of presentations and format to the requirements of the audience and to assess problems and develop realistic solutions is required.
Intermediate user level of word processing, graphics, spreadsheets and database including keyboarding skills that include both speed and accuracy is required.
