Job Description
As the Commercial Manager for Nigerdock, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our business. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand our customer base, increase revenue, and enhance profitability within the company.
This position requires strong business acumen, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Execute the commercial strategy for the Operations department, aligning it with the broader Snake Island Integrated Free Zone’s strategic objectives.
Business Development: Partner with the sales and marketing team to pursue new business opportunities, actively seeking potential clients to expand our customer base.
Contract Negotiation: Prepare comprehensive proposals and lead negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions that meet both company and client requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless project execution and contract fulfillment.
Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing structures, and customer preferences.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track contract performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and customer satisfaction.
Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and timely commercial reports and forecasts, including revenue trackers, to the management team.
Streamlining and Automation of Processes: Take ownership of automating processes to streamline commercial operations, saving man-hours and improving efficiency.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence within Terminal and Free Zone Operations
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in commercial management within terminal operations, free zones, or any type of industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.·
Expertise in developing and implementing pricing and commercial strategies to maximize revenue and maintain competitiveness.·
Proficient in data analytics, reporting, and competitive market research to support strategic decision-making and business growth.·
Strong focus on achieving revenue targets and enhancing profitability through effective commercial initiatives.·
Comprehensive understanding of commercial principles, contract negotiation, and risk management.·
Skilled in drafting, executing, and renewing commercial proposals and contracts.·
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.·
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.·
Capable of generating performance and revenue reports, using structured approaches to track progress.·
