He / she will be responsible for:
Plan developmentally and age-appropriate lesson plans for children in your classroom.
Develop and implement engaging activities that meet the developmental needs of children in your classroom.
Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating classroom environment.
Manage behaviour using positive reinforcement and clear expectations.
Observe and assess each child’s progress, providing individualised support and adjusting activities as needed to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
Maintain open, effective communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and any concerns, through periodic meetings and report-writing.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care. Follow all relevant health and safety protocols.
Stay current with best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development and training.
Confer with other staff to plan special events such as Christmas Concert, Colour Days
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Education
Minimum of three years’ experience as a nursery school teacher
Familiar with the EYFS Curriculum
Good grasp of English Language
Proficient in basic computer skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Creativity
Proactive
TRCN certificate is a plus
