Church Administrator

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Oversight:

Manage church schedules, including services, meetings, events, and programs.
Maintain accurate records of membership, attendance, and church activities.
Handle correspondence, including emails, calls, and letters, ensuring timely responses.

Financial Management:

Work with the finance team to prepare budgets and monitor expenditures.
Oversee tithes, offerings, and donations, ensuring proper accounting and reporting.
Maintain financial records and assist with audits as needed.

Facilities and Resources Management:

Ensure the church premises are well-maintained, clean, and safe.
Coordinate repairs, renovations, and regular maintenance schedules.
Oversee the use of church facilities for events and activities.

Volunteer Coordination:

Assist in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for various ministries.
Schedule and oversee volunteer activities, ensuring alignment with church goals.

Event Planning and Execution:

Plan and coordinate church events such as conferences, outreach programs, and special services.
Collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure successful event execution.

Communication and Public Relations:

Manage internal communication channels, including bulletins, newsletters, and announcements.
Update the church’s website and social media platforms with relevant information.
Serve as the point of contact for inquiries about the church’s activities and programs.

Compliance and Governance:

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and update church policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in administration or a similar role; experience in church administration is a plus.

Skills:

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and church management software.
Financial acumen and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
