Responsibilities:The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the overall management of the Farm to include product development, marketing, communication and logistics. The Chief Executive Officer will also be responsible for development and approval of strategies to meet investors, consumer and employee needs. Communicates with people inside and outside the Farm to discover what policies, products, and marketing strategies will help it move forward. Make important decisions that affect the Farm’s direction and its employees.Leadership & Personnel Management:The most suited candidate must make sure that company goals are met in a well-timed fashion by efficiently and meritoriously managing personnel and resources. This post requires the most suitable candidate to have excellent multi-tasking, organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of the industry and related finances. Specific day-to-day tasks depend on this position, bearing in mind that experience in managing leaders and people are a crucial asset. Construction:

Oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project.  Oversee the development and implementation of a cost-effective plan to Make sure that the project is completed within stipulated time and budget
Monitor and report the progress on construction to the board of directors on a weekly basis. Report should include details on each aspect of the construction, identified risks and mitigates with projected work schedule for rest of the construction period
In charge for defining clear roles & responsibilities and deliverable in terms of both scope and schedule to all the team members.
Make sure strict adherence to the Company’s safety standards and ESG corrective action plans and timeline, while also promoting a “safety culture” among the ranks throughout the Company.
In charge for the construction budget and any cost overrun
Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the board of directors

Marketing & Sales:

Create and maintain relationship with industry influencers and key strategic partners
Oversee short and long-term sales and marketing development programs for the company
Oversee and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy to achieve the highest possible long-term market share
Monitor competitors’ products, sales and marketing activities
Oversee the preparation of sales & marketing activity reports, for presentation to the board of directors
Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals
Oversee market channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
Review and analysis sales performances against programs and forecast to determine effectiveness

Operations / Production:

Organize the activities of the technical partner and make sure that all milestones and roles & duties of the technical partner under the technical partnership agreement are adhered to.
In charge for the documentation of all required policies and operational procedures to guide all the processes undertaken on the farm.
In charge for developing an effective organizational structure for the farm.
Oversee all aspects of production process on the farm and In charge  for the achievement of agreed production targets within the stipulated timeline.
In charge for securing a long-term supply contracts with identified feed suppliers.
In charge for ensuring that appropriate level of feed inventory and other raw materials and spare parts are maintained on the farm at all time.
Make sure that target weights are achieved in a timely manner. All fish product from the farm must meet the minimum quality specifications before they are sold.
Lead the expansion activities of the company.
Lead all R&D initiatives of the company.
Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the board of directors

Financial:

In charge  for the company’s overall financial performance.
In charge  for the budget process of the company.
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
In charge  for the capital budgeting process.

Others:

Determine staffing requirements and lead the process of filling all vacancies in the Company.
Make sure compliance with all required permits and licenses.
Provide periodic performance evaluation reports to all departmental heads and direct report.
Any other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the board of directors.

Qualification and Experience:

Diploma holder/B.Sc. Agriculture, Aquaculture or Animal Husbandry or related engendering degree.
Minimum 18 years’ experience in Fish farm operations.
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
Experience in Africa and catfish farming and RAS would be highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership, team building, delegation and motivation skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands, prioritize, and delegate appropriately.
Demonstrated high integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to all internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanour in all situations.
Ability to effectively address and solve problems and make decisions in a manner consistent with the company’s core values business objectives
