Job Purpose
To prepare and present high-quality dishes within your assigned section, ensuring adherence to The Art Hotel’s culinary standards. The Chef de Partie plays a vital role in maintaining a smooth kitchen operation and contributes to delivering exceptional guest dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking:
Manage and oversee food preparation in your assigned section (e.g., sauces, vegetables, fish, meat, or pastry).
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met in every dish.
Team Supervision:
Lead and train junior chefs and kitchen assistants within your section.
Coordinate with other sections to ensure timely delivery of meals.
Kitchen Operations:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
Follow kitchen protocols, including portion control and waste management.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all food is prepared following health and safety standards, including HACCP.
Monitor the proper use, maintenance, and cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
Stock Management:
Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to minimize food wastage.
Inform Sous Chef of low stock levels or urgent supply needs.
Menu Collaboration:
Contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing menus.
Stay updated on food trends and incorporate them into the culinary offerings.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Culinary diploma or equivalent professional qualification.
Proven experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine-dining environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Expertise in a specific section of the kitchen with versatility across others.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and sanitation practices.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Stamina to work long shifts and perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
