Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.
Oversee food preparationin a timely manner whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
Ensure that all dishes are cooked well and presented in an aesthetically pleasing way.
Monitor and determine food stock and supplies need to be ordered.
Check the freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
Contribute to menu planning and special event preparations.
Ensure efficient kitchen operations and adherence to quality standards.
Ensure that guests are always receiving an exceptional dining experience representing true value for money.
Job Requirements
Candidates should possess an SSCE / HND / OND / B.Sc qualification
Proven work experience as a Chef with at least 3 years of experience in the field.
Specialized in Nigerian and Continental dishes.
Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.
Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers, oven).
Familiarity with sanitation procedures.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
Good communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions strictly.
Having pastry/dessert making experience is an added advantage.
Qualification in Culinary Arts from an accredited culinary school is an added advantage.
Flexible schedule, willing to work shifts and weekends as required.
