Job Overview

The Business Manager of the medical facility will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business side of the medical facility, ensuring that financial goals are met, operational efficiency is optimized, and compliance with healthcare regulations is maintained.
This role requires strong management skills, a deep understanding of healthcare operations, and a passion for improving patient care services while maintaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the overall non clinical operations and business activities of the hospital, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and alignment with strategic goals.
Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement business strategies, policies, and procedures that promote growth and sustainability.
Analyze financial statements, budgets, and performance metrics to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
Optimize resource allocation and streamline processes to enhance operational efficiency across departments.
Develop business growth strategies and identify new opportunities for service expansion.
Lead financial planning and analysis to maximize profitability.
Establish performance metrics and benchmarks for operational efficiency.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare laws, insurance processes, and accreditation standards.
Develop and implement strategies for improving patient satisfaction and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Manage complaints, resolve issues, and ensure that quality service is delivered.
Oversee billing, reimbursement processes, and insurance claims.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and partners, patients, and regulatory bodies.
Drive marketing and promotional activities to increase patient volume.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote hospital services.
Analyze marketing performance metrics and report on campaign effectiveness to management.
Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Act as a liaison between the hospital and the Teaching Hospitalto facilitate communication and collaboration.
Coordinate patient referrals, transfers, and consultations between the two hospitals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Maintain relationships with medical staff, departments, and management to support joint initiatives and partnerships.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Required).
Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or related field (Preferred).

Specific Skills and Experience:
Skills:

Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent financial management and budgeting capabilities.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, laws, and accreditation standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients.
Proficiency in healthcare management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare administration or management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role (Required).
Experience in budget management, financial planning, and operational oversight.
Experience in working with healthcare compliance standards, including HIPAA and JCAHO.
Experience in the banking sector (product development and relationship management).
Previous experience in a hospital, medical center, or healthcare setting is strongly preferred.

Certifications and Licenses:

Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE), Certified Medical Manager (CMM), or other relevant healthcare management certifications (Preferred).
CPR/First Aid Certification (Required in some regions, preferred).
