The position
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new opportunities within the Group’s financial services ecosystem-inclusive of new opportunities, new-markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, services, and new ways of reaching existing markets-for the growth of the company, value realization and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Development of ecosystem business models/plan and growth opportunities for company, across a wide range of industries.
Working closely with partnerships, product managers, researchers and communications stakeholders within the Group to achieve the Groups financial ecosystem strategy.
Coordinating and promoting the company’s products and services within ecosystem.
Identify new projects and opportunities within the ecosystem and support the planning and successful implementation of these projects through sustainable partnerships.
Development of alternative delivery channels for products and services within the ecosystem.
Working closely with product managers and product teams to ensure technical integration and systems development are aligned with financial service requirements.
Work with a range of new and existing customers across all areas of financial services ecosystems to develop viable business ideas and products to be marketed to customers.
Support partners and stakeholders to increase outreach through piloting new innovations, products and services within ecosystem identified opportunities.
Construct forecasts and analytical models.
Ensure value for money in all activities.
Employ agile principles in managing requirements, tasks, and deliverables.
Attending conferences and industry events.
Monitor and respond to Competitor offerings and trends.
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years business development experience in financial services industry with reasonable exposure to strategic planning and business consulting.
Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline, marketing, finance, IT or related discipline.
MBA or other professional certifications are desirable.
Knowledge of business operations and procedures.
Excellent business development and management skills.
Knowledge and understanding of Nigerian Fintech market.
Strong communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Product management skills.
