JOB OVERVIEW
Our client is in need of a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand market presence within our retail business. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, increasing sales, and enhancing brand visibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing, and strategic planning, with a deep understanding of retail trends and consumer behavior.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Growth and Strategy
Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, new markets, and product expansion.
Conduct market research to analyze trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Collaborate with senior management to set business objectives and sales targets.
Sales and Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and major clients.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements with vendors and distributors.
Lead sales initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Develop promotional campaigns and customer engagement strategies to drive foot traffic and sales.
Operational and Financial Performance
Monitor sales performance and analyze financial reports to optimize revenue.
Work with the marketing team to align sales strategies with brand positioning and promotional activities.
Ensure operational efficiency in collaboration with retail store managers and supply chain teams.
Track KPIs and report on business development activities and outcomes.
Innovation and Market Expansion
Identify emerging retail trends and implement innovative solutions to stay ahead of competitors.
Explore opportunities for e-commerce and omnichannel retail strategies.
Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or retail management.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCY
Proven track record of achieving revenue and business growth targets.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven business decisions.
Knowledge of retail industry trends, e-commerce, and digital marketing.
