Job Description
Over 7-15 years of experience in Bid Tendering / Business Development with experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) or in an oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities
Identify new tender Opportunities
Review tender documents to evaluate the scope of the project and provide recommendations to the direct manager accordingly.
Read the contracts conditions carefully to take it into consideration when preparing the tender.
Formulate and manage bid programme
Keep track of tender submission results
Review the Technical bid document after collecting the needed documents to be sent to the client to understand the requirements.
Manage the process of handing over the project documents and requirements to the operations team.
Tender preparation / submission and follow ups with various major oil/servicing companies.
Monitor the NipeX oil and gas portal regularly for advertised bids/tenders relevant to the company for a response.
Conduct an in-depth analysis of all bids/tenders received and ensure a bid/no-bid.
Review meetings with the relevant user department and coordinate the preparation and submission of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other tender documents that are responsive to the client requirements and in compliance with the company objectives in a timely manner.
Responsible for commercial tenders, from reviewing the initial request to tracking and managing the tender process to submitting the final bids to purchasers.
Prepare regular status reports on ongoing tendering and evaluation activities undertaken by the company.
Act as a liaison between the company and suppliers to ensure that all queries are dealt with within a time frame.
Supervise the tender process from the pre-qualification stage through to the final bid submission, award of contract, and engagement close out.
Qualifications
First Degree or equivalent
Prefered experence with working on bid tendering/EPC projects in an oil & gas company.
Good communication skills.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Speaks and writes clearly and informatively; listens and obtains clarification when necessary.
Good knowledge of departmental function, terminology and interrelationships.
Good understanding of policies and procedures that apply to assignments.
Exhibits sound judgment and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
Follows instructions, responds to management direction and understands accountability.
Ability to multi-task and understands the concept of organization.
Must balance deadlines and multiple competing priorities; sets goals and objectives.
Proficiency in Microsoft tools is essential.
Proximity to office location is mandatory.
