Job Summary:
The Business Developer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and leveraging their technical knowledge to provide tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background combined with a passion for business strategy and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities within technical and engineering sectors.
Work closely with engineering teams to develop and present tailored solutions for clients.
Conduct technical feasibility studies and align solutions with customer needs.
Analyze industry trends, technological advancements, and market demands to identify business potential.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends and competitive landscapes.
Prepare and deliver detailed technical presentations, proposals, and business cases to customers and partners.
Engage in technical discussions with engineers, project managers, and procurement teams to demonstrate product value.
Support contract negotiations by providing technical insights and aligning engineering specifications with commercial terms.
Collaborate with internal teams to drive product improvements based on client feedback.
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field).
Experience in business development, technical sales, or engineering consulting within a relevant industry.
Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand and communicate complex engineering concepts.
Ability to bridge the gap between engineering and business, translating technical requirements into commercial opportunities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a teamoriented environment.
Experience in preparing and delivering technical proposals and presentations.
Experience in Research and Development.
Proficiency in CAD software, engineering simulation tools, and CRM systems is a plus.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
