Bursar

The Position

The Bursar, as a Principal Officer, shall be the Chief Finance Officer of the University and shall hold office for a period of five years.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Candidate should have minimum of second class (lower) degree in Accounting or related disciplines. However, possession of a higher degree(s) is an added advantage.
He/she must be registered with any of the recognized accounting professional bodies.
Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years cognate experience, 10 of which must be in a University or comparable Institution.

Candidate:

The candidate shall be a person with proven academic distinction, impeccable character and integrity.
He/she must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
He/she must also have knowledge and awareness of the complexity of a University financial system.
Candidate must be computer literate and must demonstrate advance proficiency in MS Excel and/or other Accounting softwares.

Salary and Condition of Service The remuneration and conditions of service are as applicable to the post of a Bursar in Nigerian Universities as approved by the Sokoto State Government and the Governing Council of the University from time to time.
