Job Description
A bank teller helps customers with transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
They also promote bank products and services.
Responsibilities
Process deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
Cash checks and process currency exchanges
Fill out paperwork and deposit and withdrawal slips
Oversee ATM deposits and withdrawals
Answer phones
Balance numbers at the end of the business day
Verify customers’ identities
Ensure customers have sufficient funds in their accounts
Recommend special products and refer customers to specialized bank employees
Other duties:
Process customer transactions
Issue money orders, cashiers checks, and savings bonds
Open or close various types of deposit accounts
Service and maintain debit cards, CDs, HSAs, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes
Understand and follow federal banking laws and bank procedures.
Requirements
Educational Qualification:
OND and HND, 28 years below.
Skills:
Cash handling experience
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
