Associate, Investment Banking

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

Identify potential transactions for capital raising, financial advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions.
Develop and review financial models.Develop professional proposals and pitch documents for transactions. 
Prepare relevant transaction documentation such as prospectuses, placement memoranda, etc.Liaise with regulatory agencies as required.  
Support the Managing Director to monitor project activities and transaction execution on a day-to-day basis.
Carry out research and analysis of financial information and keep up to date with market trends in order to generate sector or company-specific insights.
Begin to develop relationships with owners of capital such as local pension funds, asset managers, etc.Develop relationships with local and international investors (private capital investors, venture capital funds, development finance institutions, pension funds, asset managers, strategic investors, etc.) to ensure the success of various transaction types.  

Requirements

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES  

Strong experience in executing investment banking transactions (covering various types)  
Excellent presentation, communication (written and oral), and relationship management skills  
Strong analytical skills 
Excellent Project Management skills  
Strong Financial modeling skills 
Must have a good knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the Nigerian regulatory authorities (SEC, NGX, FMDQ)

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS  

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a reputable university
Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ACS, CFA, and CAIA would also be beneficial  
Minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience in investment banking or finance-related role
Must be a SEC Sponsored Individual
