The role
The Associate Consultant position will cover the following areas of responsibility:
Execution
Support the team in developing creative consulting solutions for clients facing specific challenges or opportunities in Nigeria
Support research and analysis products: Assist in monitoring political, legal, socio-economic, commercial and regulatory developments in Nigeria and identify issues relevant to our key accounts that may require further analysis
Proactively brief account leads on key trends to help advise clients effectively
Understand where to acquire relevant information according to research requirement
Assist with drafting of briefing notes, research papers and a range of client deliverables
Deal and assist with ad hoc needs and queries
Research and analysis
Maintain some regional expertise through desktop research, attendance at relevant seminars and in-country intelligence gathering
Draft briefing notes and short research papers
Marketing and Business development
Support marketing and initiatives to generate new business leads
Support development of proposals and pitches
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelors degree or higher in relevant discipline from a reputable institution
At least 1 year experience in a research and analysis role focused on Nigerian politics
Excellent investigative and analytical skills; Has an inquisitive mind
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Attention to detail
Keen interest in current affairs in Nigeria and Africa as whole
Good grasp of current political and economic matters
Excellent analytical skills
