Advocacy, Research/Programme Officer

Job Description Advocacy, Research:

Liaising closely with Registrar/CEO in the delivery of the Institute’s advocacy strategy
Participates in relevant arbitration/ADR policy groups when required
Provide support for the design, planning and delivery of Institute’s policy and advocacy event
Maintain active membership of key arbitrators/ADR networks and policy groups where appropriate
Support the production of policy briefings and other materials for use in various communication channels and at external events as directed
Assists with the monitoring and evaluation of the impact of Institute’s policy and advocacy work and deliver regular analysis and updates for management and Governing Council reports etc., as required
Acts as a public relations officer on campaign and advocacy issues if required
Manage multiple research projects concurrently, utilizing a variety of research methodologies & approaches (panel-based surveys, on-device surveys, advertising effectiveness studies, online focus groups, website evaluations)
Oversees all data-related aspects of project execution (e.g., quality control assurance from fielding through report delivery)
Manage progress of survey research projects to ensure accomplishment of objectives – this includes communication to anticipate challenges related to survey design, fielding/data collection and project deliverables
Performs basic analysis of survey research results, including sub-group analysis for inclusion in reports.

Programme Management:

Creates, develop and implement fund-raising strategies for Institute’s
Identify potential partnerships with organizations/Institutions
Research available local and international funding opportunities
Review request for proposals (RFPs) and draft proposals to potential partners and donors for fundraising purposes
Generate increased income for Institute’s programmes and events from existing sources or relationships
Maintain and expand Institute’s network in arbitration and ADR and other business community
Identify opportunities to actively engage Institute’s Members and Stakeholders
Research relevant information to improve Institute’s programmatic approach, coordinate the execution and support the implementation of Institute’s programmes and activities
Monitor and track the impact of Institute’s programmes and events
Prepare reports for Management, Partners and Funders
Participate in inter-departmental meetings and departmental strategic planning
Any other tasks within the scope of the role as directed and agreed.

Education Qualification

A good University Degree preferably in Project Management, or related discipline.

Professional Qualification:

Project management certification will be an added advantage

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field
