Responsibilities:
Providing financial and accounting support to the finance and account head
Entering and coding financial transactions appropriately into the general ledger on the Sage software.
Process payments to suppliers/clients as at when due and documents invoices
Make bank deposits and keep records
Track expenses as related to specific projects/job
Check all financial information and transactions for accuracies
Reconciling general ledger monthly
Reconciling account payables and receivables monthly
Carrying out monthly bank reconciliations and report to the head of accounts and finance any discrepancies for prompt corrections
Assist in filing monthly returns of VATs, Payee and withholding tax
Key Competency:
Proficient use of sage 50 accounting software
Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial reporting and presentation as stipulated by IFRS
Excellent mathematical and accounting skills
Good knowledge of Nigeria tax system
Good interpersonal skill
Minimum of 2-3 years in similar experience in a service Industry.
Academic Qualification:
Minimum of BSc/HND Accounting or related courses.
