The Account Officer is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, vendors, and financial institutions.
The officer will also provide support to the management team by delivering financial insights and recommendations to improve business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Monthly Financial & Management Reports
Ensure that general ledger accounts are properly maintained
Ensure regular posting of general ledgers
Bank reconciliations and Journal postings
Prepare and deliver timely invoices
Follow up with account receivables/Debtors
Ensure timely payment of account payables/Creditors
Ensure regular filings & remittance of PAYE, Withholding tax, VAT
JOB REQUIREMENT
Minimum of a B.Sc./HND in Accounting or any related course.
Applicant should have minimum of 2 years work experience
Professional certification, i.e., ICAN/ACA is an advantage
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
