About Dana Group

Established in the mid-1980s with a focus on pharmaceutical manufacturing, the Dana Group has since expanded its operations across multiple industries, including industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals and surgical supplies, commodities, polyethylenes, automobiles, electronics, and white goods. In line with its commitment to innovation and leadership, the Group successfully commissioned a plastics plant for household products in 2000, followed by the establishment of a pharmaceutical formulation plant and a table water bottling plant in 2003. Further diversification led to the establishment of a state-of-the-art rice milling facility, utilizing cutting-edge food processing technology. In 2006, the Group expanded into the steel industry with the acquisition of a steel rolling mill in Katrina, producing billets and wire rods.

Leveraging its resources, extensive reach, and strategic marketing expertise, the Dana Group remains a dominant player in industrial chemicals and pharmaceuticals, with a strong vision for sustained growth. Over the years, it has evolved into a diversified conglomerate, encompassing manufacturing and importation of pharmaceutical products, as well as ventures in the food and automobile sectors. Supported by robust financial performance and forward-thinking leadership, the Group continues to excel in all its endeavors. Its most recent and ambitious initiative was the launch of Dana Air in late 2008, offering domestic scheduled flights and charter services.

The Dana Group’s impact on Nigeria’s economy has been significant, creating employment opportunities both directly and indirectly while upholding strong corporate social responsibility. Among its notable contributions is the sponsorship of the Sri SAI Bandana Foundation (SSVF), a registered nonprofit established in 1995. SSVF actively engages in humanitarian efforts and initiatives aimed at supporting underprivileged communities across Nigeria.
