About Center for Advocacy, Transparency, and Accountability Initiative (CATAI)

The Center for Advocacy, Transparency, and Accountability Initiative (CA TAI), founded in 2018 and officially registered as an NGO, is headquartered in Maiduguri, Born State. The organization operates in Born, Adamant, and Lobe states, executing impactful initiatives across key sectors, including education, protection, community empowerment, livelihoods, environmental sustainability, health, peace building, and governance.

Currently, CA TAI is implementing the Education, Budget Monitoring, and Advocacy (EMMA) project in Adamant State, funded by the Malala Fund. Additionally, the organization provides prevention and response services for child survivors of Gender-Based Violence, including those affected by conflict-related sexual violence, as well as protection from sexual exploitation and abuse in northeastern Nigeria.

CA TAI’s approach is rooted in its mission to improve service delivery and empower communities, ensuring that individuals in the most remote regions have access to essential life necessities. The organization upholds core values of integrity, partnership, results-driven outcomes, and sustainability.
