ETP / STP Operation Chemist
Job Purpose The role incumbent will be expected to ensure that the Wacot values are being upheld, and to support his/her team in achievement of the team scorecard. The purpose of the ETP / STP Operation chemist is to oversee compliance to the quality standards for all processes involved in manufacturing of goods. Ensure adherence to quality policies, standards, procedures, programs and practices. Job Responsibilities To collect sample of effluent water and conduct routine tests and analysis on wastewater samples using standard laboratory techniques and equipment. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records for all collected and tested samples. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines for wastewater treatment and disposal. To coordinate with Engineering for proper preventive maintenance and calibration of ETP instruments. Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in ETP laboratory setting and wastewater treatment processes and regulatory requirements and parameters like COD, BOD etc. Set and ensure waste control compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved. Ensure that the safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment in ETP/STP.
